Dana was 59 years old when he died peacefully at home with his sister Holly Divis.

Dana was born in Chicago Illinois to Mary Catherine (Cooper) Hulet and Dennis Jay Hulet. He grew up, went to school, married and had two children in Chicago, before moving his family to Vashon in 1984. Upon moving to Vashon Dana started his own business, was a volunteer firefighter, dispatcher/supervisor and instructor for the Vashon Fire department until 1995.

Dana enjoyed modeling wooden ships, military miniatures, model railroading and collecting history books and memorabilia. Dana is survived by his two adult children Heather Hulet and Jason Hulet and four grandchildren. Dana has three surviving sisters, Holly Divis of Vashon, WA.Leslie Stahl of Kingman, AZ. And Heidi Rigik of Oak Lawn, IL., one niece and two nephews.

A celebration of life will be on Sunday October 19, 2014 at 3pm at the Vashon Eagles.
