Doris Ann Bosworth, a Didricksen, a Norwegian, and longtime resident of Vashon Island, died peacefully Saturday October 28th at Highline Medical Center. She was surrounded by family at her time of death.

Doris was born in 1935 on Vashon Island, WA to Nils and Anna Didricksen, 5 minutes after her twin sister Dorothy.

She moved off the island after she married Jan Bosworth to live in Edmonds, WA where she resided until he passed. Doris and Dorothy moved back to Vashon Island to raise Doris's two granddaughters, Cassie and Shalise.

We were blessed to learn many valuable lessons from Doris during her 82 years, among them: to laugh so hard you almost pee your pants, how to make the world's best red velvet cake, to be stubborn and honest, that cats are the best animals, and most of all how to love unconditionally.

She leaves behind a large loving family and many wonderful friends. She will be greatly missed by all.

A Funeral service will be held Friday November 3, 2017 at 1pm at the Bethel Church, followed by a reception.
