Elaine P. Scott, 95, previously of Burton (Judd Creek) WA, passed away peacefully, on April 29, 2021, tended by hospice at Ana's Care Home, in Sammamish, WA. Elaine was born in Everett, WA, raised by her great grandparents, as her mother, Florence Elaine Ekstedt died when Elaine was just 4. She married the "love of her life", James (Jim) C. Scott, in 1962, creating a new "Scott Clan", each bringing a son and daughter into the new family. Jim and Elaine and family moved to Vashon Island during the summer of 1963. They built a home on their Judd Creek property located just upstream from the main highway bridge.

Elaine loved the outdoors which she experienced everyday on their Vashon property. She enjoyed wildlife, especially the salmon that spawned in Judd Creek each year and "her birds", which she fed daily. Elaine also enjoyed doing crafts and gardening. One craft, candle making, developed into a business that she started in the late '60's. Ultimately, she sold "The Candle Shop" a few years later. For many years, Elaine was very active in the Vashon Island Garden Club, serving as President at one point.

Elaine is survived by her sons, Gary Wallace and Gary Robert, and daughter Pamela Marie Scott. She was preceded in death by her husband and oldest daughter, Charlene May Connolly. Elaine has 7 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Any contributions to the Vashon Island Garden Club would be appreciated.
