James W. Anderson, Jr. died at home on July 14, 2016 with his son and daughter at his side. He was born on February 14, 1920 in New York. and moved to Vashon more than 2 years ago to live with his son. Jim, as he liked to be called, is survived by his daughter Susan (Anderson) Guttzeit of Bellingham, WA, his son Peter Anderson, and his grandson Karl Guttzeit of Frankfurt, Germany. He was preceded in death by his wife Marjorie Anderson and his sister Jean Kennison. Jim lived most of his life in New York State before moving to Vashon Island in 2014. We would like to express our appreciation to Allocha Sazonova and her family for including him in their lives and making his last years so enjoyable. In addition, we would like to thank hospice and in-home nursing for their support and help during Jim's last days.»¿
