Kathleen Peretti, devoted wife, mother, and friend, passed away peacefully in her home on November 2, 2015. Kathleen was born in Seattle, on December 29, 1952, to Edward and Evelyn Johnson.

After graduating from West Seattle High School, she embarked on an adventurous life that took her around the world. She created home in Alaska, Hawaii, Seattle and finally in the woods of Vashon Island.

She welcomed those who needed it into her family and challenged them to realize their full potential while providing legendary food, a soft bed and clean sheets. Whether it took minutes or years, Kathleen devoted herself to those who needed her, and considered them a part of her forever. She personally changed the lives of many who have since changed the lives of many more.

Creativity, love, and compassion were the driving force in Kathleen's life. Through the years, Kathleen honed her skills as a culinary artist by providing food to the many hungry souls who would show up at the table for dinner. When she moved to Vashon in 2005, she remained true to her purpose.

Kathleen converted her talent for perfect taste by starting Imagine Foods in her kitchen which with hard work she nourished to provide delicious pies, fine salads, and savory sandwiches, to Vashon Island Roasterie.

In her quiet way, she continued to build her family and support this community by feeding the people until she could no longer.

She will always be remembered as a lady of quick wit and deep faith. She found herself in prayer and satisfying the thirsty and filling the hungry with good things.

Kathleen is survived by her husband, Paul, and her three children: Adam Richmond, Justin Christianson, and Sierra Verunica; and her three grandchildren: Annalia, Zelen and Zori.

Her family extends a heartfelt thanks for all the community support and hugs after Kathleen's death.

Kathleen was celebrated in a private family gathering on November 13th.
