Lilah Louise (Sullivan) Hook, 90, passed away on April 27 at Vashon

Community Care on Vashon Island in Washington State.

Lilah was born in California and raised in San Rafael.

She is survived by her five children, Cheryl Ziegler of Berkeley, Mike Hook

of San Francisco, Kristy Hegnauer of Vashon, WA, Patty Robitaille of Valley

Springs, CA and David Hook of San Rafael, eleven grandchildren, Julie,

Jeff, JoJo, Andy, Lilah, Hannah, Andrea, Leah, Raymond, Ashley and Nick,

eleven great grandchildren and several adored nieces and nephews. She was

preceded in death by her husband of 57 yrs, Raymond Hook and her sister

Ruth Henry of Novato, CA.

Lilah devoted her life to her children and grandchildren. Always striving to

keep everyone connected, despite the miles between them. She was always

there with an encouraging word and the love that came with it. She got

much joy spending money on things that would put a smile on someones

face and would always say, "It's only money."

Lilah also devoted much of her time to the AA program. With 40 years of

sobriety she had so much to offer and loved presenting her miniature, quarter

sized Hallmark birthday cakes to others on their 1yr birthday.

Lilah passed peacefully in her sleep after a long bout with dementia. Her

daughter, Kristy, worked at VCC as a PTA and spent many hours by her

side, sharing family pictures and listening to Lilah's favorite music. Her

other children came to visit as often as they could.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 6 at 11am at St. Anthony's

Catholic Church, 1000 Cambridge St., Novato. A reception immediately

following, will be held at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Hall, 844 Sweetzer

Ave., also in Novato.
