Mark Protzeller passed into the hands of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, November 28, 2023, at the age of 62. Born April 5, 1961, in Burien, the sixth son of Ruth and Ed Protzeller, Mark graduated from Lincoln High School in Seattle and served in the US Navy for six years aboard the USS Enterprise.

Mark was the self-employed owner of Smokey Top chimney cleaning service, a devout member of Calvary Full Gospel Church, and a resident of Vashon for over 35 years. He was best known for his sense of humor, a hearty laugh, a strong work ethic, and a demonstrated respect for family, friends, and clients.

Mark is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Lana; his son, Eddie (Katie); daughter Bailey (Alex); three grandchildren; four brothers and two sisters.

A private service will be held at Tahoma National Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at Calvary Full Gospel Church at a date to be determined in the new year. In lieu of flowers, please donate on Mark's behalf to Vashon Youth and Family services.
