Long time Vashon Island resident Ray Downing passed away surrounded by his wife Gisela, family and friends.

Ray is lovingly remembered by his wife, Gisela, children, grand children, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, neighbors and close friends.

He was an amazing man with the biggest heart of gold and we are all better people for knowing him.

A special thank you to Providence Hospice and the Vashon Island community for helping our family his last few days.He will be interned at Vashon Island Cemetery at a private family service.
