Robert Walter
Easton
Jul 6, 1994 — Sep 3, 2015
Robert Walter Easton, 21, died suddenly from cardiac arrest on September 3, 2015 in Pullman, WA. He was a 2013 VHS graduate who always will be remembered for his red hair, his sense of humor and his exuberance for life. Robert had tremendous athletic gifts that were evident whether he was on the high school football field or wrestling mat or in the VAC weight room. Robert's relentless pursuit of his goals proved to be an inspiration to those around him. Robert had grown up on Vashon and when he was younger had participated in a wide-ranging variety of activities, including: Drama Dock, Youth Theater, Boy Scouts, Pirate Youth football, lacrosse, swim team, and Suzuki violin.
At the time of his death, Robert was a junior at Washington State University, studying kinesiology (the study of human movement). He had planned to earn his doctorate and then to work as a physical therapist. Robert truly had found his passion in learning and teaching about the wonders and workings of the human body. He was skilled at explaining even the most technical of this information and had been a teaching assistant for the WSU Human Anatomy class. Robert lived by the ideal that everyone should strive to improve his health and fitness.
There will be a community reception honoring Robert on Saturday, September 19, 2015 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Vashon Athletic Club. Light refreshments will be served.
Robert is survived by his mother, Marian, father, John and brother, Franklin. In Robert's short life he touched so many people; we all will miss him greatly. Anyone wishing to donate in Robert's name may send a Memorial Gift to:
