Rodney "Rod" Allen Fosmark, age 86, of Vashon Island Washington, died at home on Monday February 20th, 2017. Rod was born on September 7, 1930 to George and Clara Fosmark and lived most of his life on Vashon.

Rod was husband to Joanne Fosmark to whom he was married for 62 years. Rod graduated from Vashon High School in 1949 and started working as a machinist at Boeing. Rod joined the Air Force and served between 1950 and 1953. After completing his military service, Rod returned to Boeing where he worked until his retirement in 1990.

In his retirement, he enjoyed following the Seattle Mariners. Rod was a lifelong member of the Bethel (Evangelical Free) Church of Vashon.

Rod is survived by his wife Joanne, sons Wayne and Stephen Fosmark, daughter Rebecca Olson, two grandchildren and two great grandchildren, brothers Donald and Robert Fosmark, sisters Gloria Stimson and Gladys Myers and many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service for Rod will be held at 2pm on March 9, 2017 at the Bethel Church on Vashon. Donations in Rod's name can be made to the Bethel Church 14736 Bethel Lane SW Vashon, WA. 98070
