Tom Caughellpassed away peacefullyat home onJanuary 4, 2012surrounded byfamily. Tom wasborn on August 27,1938 in Fresno, CAto his parents, LoisLorraine Caughelland Clyde NewmanCaughell. Throughout his life, Tom was a dedicatedand loving son, husband, father and friend. Tommoved to Vashon in 1979 with his wife, Patricia,and their three children. He loved living on Vashonand raising his children on the island. Tom was theowner of Clarklift of Washington/Alaska, a materialhandling company in Seattle, for 32 years. When heretired, Tom greatly enjoyed the game of golf and themany hours spent with good friends at the VashonIsland Golf and Country Club. Tom was also a wonderfulgrandfather and he loved spending time withhis nine grandchildren.Tom will truly be missed by everyone who sharedhis life. Tom was preceded in death by his parents,Clyde Newman Caughell and Lois Lorraine Caughellas well as his sister, Pat Lynne Caughell. Tom issurvived by his loving wife of 42 years, Patricia KayCaughell and their children: Heather Kay Hisatomiand her husband Randal Hisatomi; Shannon LynneMiller and her husband Doug Miller; Todd ThomasCaughell and his wife Stacie Caughell. Tom is alsosurvived by his grandchildren: Kelton and CamilleHisatomi; Ravenna, Parker and Georgia Miller;Abbie, Bennett, Holly and Clara Caughell.
