William Keith Eggert 4/20/1927 to 5/9/2012Keith, suffering from cancer, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 9, 2012.Keith was born in Miller, South Dakota and as a result of the depression his family movedto Washington where he graduated from Sumner High School in 1945. After high schoolhe joined the Marines attaining the rank of Sergeant. After the military he attended theUniversity of Washington studying metallurgical engineering.While attending college he met and later married Edee Hansen. He also worked in acabinetry shop where he learned a skill that he would enjoy throughout his life. Hisengineering career took him briefly to Texas, then California where he and Edee raisedtheir 3 children. They then went back to Texas before he retired to Vashon Island in 1985where he and Edee built their dream house.Keith is survived by his wife, Edee, his children: Pam (husband Boyd), Sonja (husbandRich) and Tim (wife Julie) and his grandchildren: Patty, Carolyn, Jenny, Shelly, Kasey andSteven.A celebration of life will be held in Keith's honor on Saturday, June 16, 2012 at 2:00 PM atthe Vashon United Methodist Church.
