Obituary

Wayne Arthur Chabot, born 4 Feb 1923, graduated to the next life on Monday 18 May 2015. He is survived by Grant Chabot (brother); 7 of his 8 children, Daryl Chabot, Gordon Chabot, Mark Chabot, Irene Chabot Grimshaw, Brad Chabot, David Chabot, and Jan Marie Chabot; 19 grandchildren, and 25 ½ great-grandchildren.



He was preceded in death by his parents, Ambrose Blaze Chabot and Lucy Alma McSorely; siblings, Eileen Wendell, Ruth Murray, Lorna Malmberg, Ambrose Chabot, and Jared Chabot; and son, Albert Chabot.



He served his country in the Army of the United States, Company A 15th Infantry 3rd Division, from 17 Mar 1943 to 11 Oct 1945. He was interned as a POW of WWII at Stalag VII/A on 23 Dec 1944. He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was a quiet spiritual giant. He was humble, kind and helpful to the end. He is finally free!



Services held Saturday 23 May 2015 at 1:00 PM at the LDS Chapel (9330 SW 204th Vashon, WA). 3:00 PM graveside service with military honors at Island Funeral Home and Cemetery (1931 Singer Rd SW Vashon, WA).
