COVID-19 A special letter from our owner

Dear Friends,

Our hearts go out to the families whose loved ones have died from the coronavirus and to all those affected by the recent changes due to COVID-19. We extend our appreciation to the healthcare community for all they are doing to protect us. I pray that God will comfort those who grieve, protect those who are on the front lines, and grant wisdom and discernment to our elected leaders.

After reviewing the most recent proclamations from the Governor an under the direction of the Washington State Department of Licensing, Funeral and Cemetery Unit the following restrictions are in effect for Washington State:

  • Funeral, memorial, and graveside services are prohibited throughout the state of Washington until March 31st. This date may be extended.
  • Most families are choosing to proceed with cremation or burial and schedule a memorial gathering at a later date.

We know this is a time of uncertainty for everyone and we want you to know that your safety is top of mind and that you can still support families and friends during a time of loss. Funeral, memorial, and celebration events help start the healing process. Please make an extra effort to support those that have lost a loved one during this unusual time. Your support is now more important than ever. We encourage supporting families via on-line condolences on our web site, and calling families on the phone or video chat.

If you have recently lost a loved one, or will soon, our team is here for you. To assist those who have travel restrictions or health concerns, and to comply with public health guidance, we will be making most arrangements by phone and/or video chat. If you prefer to make arrangements in person, please call ahead for an appointment and one of our licensed funeral directors will assist you. Every situation can and will be accommodated.

Losing a friend or family member is never easy. We are aware that these unsettling times can amplify feelings of grief and anxiety. Please know that we are here for anything you may need to honor life, support loved ones, and begin the healing process. The safety and well-being of you, your family, and your friends is of the utmost importance. Should you have any questions or concerns, please contact us at (206) 463-9300. We are available 24/7.

My wife, Kelley and I are active in several community organizations, Young Life, and Wabash Presbyterian Church. We consider our most important role as parents to introduce our children to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. While we are Christians, we consider it a privilege to serve people of all faiths and backgrounds. I grew up in a funeral home family and enjoy helping people during a very difficult time. If you have comments, concerns, or simply want to speak with the owner, please call me or contact me by email. As you can see by the picture, I also enjoy fishing!
